Mowbray College Block E Project Client NameMowbray College Date2009 Project Description Mowbray College is a modern 3 campus, K to 12 school in Melbourne's outer north-western suburbs. In addition to being a truly international school, Mowbray College offers students a broad choice of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. To serve these broad aspirations the school embarked on a project in 2007 to construct a new two-storey building of more than 2000m2 at its Town Centre Campus. The project is now complete and includes a canteen, technology room, IT laboratory,multi-purpose room, library, toilets, general classrooms, offices and staff rooms. Our Role Root Projects Australia managed the project to completion after the school developed the concept design. RPA ensured that the design was endorsed by the local town planning authority and managed the stakeholders' inputs and approvals. RPA tendered the work out as a design and construct contract and then acted as Superintendent. In this capacity RPA administered the contract, monitored the OH&S environment and the quality issues on site, managed all design aspects and managed the project's program and risks. The 18 month project was completed in early 2009. |
