Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park Business Plan Client NameMajor Projects Victoria Date2004 Project DescriptionBonegilla Migrant Historic Site in Albury, Victoria has played a vital role in the lives of many migrants to Australia. The Victorian government funded a project to conserve and protect the site and to interpret it to visitors. A new visitor facility was designed and built and some of the key heritage buildings and landscape were refurbished. Our RoleRPA was commissioned to determine how the newly developed site would be operated such that it could run as a sustainable business, supported by the community. This involved investigating the likely visitation to understand the extent and style of services that might be provided and developing a business and operating plan for the site. The integration of paid staff and volunteers and the opportunities for integrating local business interests formed part of the solution. |
